Man Run Over, Set On Fire By Own Car
POSTED: 9:57 pm EST January 7, 2007
A 43-year-old man in Orange County, Fla., working on his vehicle over the weekend, was run over and then set on fire when the car slipped into gear.
Police said the man was working on his vehicle at the Hunter’s Creek nursing home located on Town Loop Boulevard when the vehicle jumped forward and ran him over, pinning him to the ground.
The catalytic converter then caught his clothes on fire, Local 6 News reported.
Two Orange County sheriff’s deputies responded and lifted the vehicle off the burned man.The victim suffered second- and third-degree burns on his body. He was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center but his condition was not offered Sunday night.
I assume the car was released with minor injuries and will be filing suit for abuse to it’s auto-immune system
