An Apple developer recently put together a 13 minute video demonstrating the capabilities of a yet unreleased development tool dubbed Dashcode. Designed to make developing Widgets as easy as possible, Dashcode sports an efficient and polished interface that can accommodate novice and expert JavaScript/Widget developers alike.

The demo video showed four templates that made creating templates a very fast and drag-and-drop affair: QuickTime, Web search, Webcam, and RSS. With the RSS template, a Widget not unlike Think Secret’s own was created in seconds simply by typing a title and dragging and dropping an RSS URL from Safari. The Webcam template is similar, requiring users only to drag and drop a photo from a Webcam URL in Safari onto the Dashcode template….
